It’s normal to have red moments, but it’s not an excuse to live there. 40 Red Dash will help your athletes learn how to manage our relationship with red and improve their ability to stay Green.
Rotational leadership is a concept that needs to be understood by your players. Players go from leader to follower, back to leader, back to follower, all day every day. The leadership on the team is constantly rotating. As a result, we need to perform just as well as a follower as we do a leader.
The 5 & 2 exercise will help your players make greater impressions and enhance their interactions with others. The exercise encourages players to become more detail-oriented and recognize the importance of the “small things.”
The “Process” exercise is guaranteed to get your players on the edge of their seats needing to think, engage and get themselves locked in; as they focus on not missing any details and working to “out-concentrate” their teammates.
From an athlete’s perspective using a 40-yard dash as a metaphor, you could say their “Run From Red 40-Time is Faster.” They’ve trained themselves to have a fast run from red 40-time. They experience red and then get out quicker than others.
Learning how to manage our relationship with red is critical and improving our 40-Red Dash time is essential.
