Set the Table
This is a multi-faceted, multi-lesson exercise connecting our players need to properly prepare and the importance of remaining focused.
Players who have a leadership mindset understand the need to prepare so when their number is called, they are ready to perform. They take so much pride in their preparation because they never want to risk not performing at a high level for both their sake and the sake of their teammates.
They also understand the need to lock-in during the game. Preparation is the first step but remaining fully engaged during the game is equally as important.
Preparation and focus will allow you to better perform so you need to develop those skills, and get in the habit of having both components become part of your daily life.
The movie script exercise will help you accomplish that.
