Big News: 8 New Updates for Coaches

At Lead ‘Em Up, we’re always looking for ways to evolve and deliver even more value to coaches and teams. After months of hard work, and collaboration with coaches, athletic directors, and players, we’re excited to unveil some game-changing updates for 2025. Whether you’re new to Lead ‘Em Up or have been part of our community for years, these updates are designed to help you and your team grow stronger, more focused, and more connected.

TRACKS: A Clear Path to Leadership Growth

A Clear Path to Leadership GrowthAfter years of fine-tuning our leadership process, we’ve developed 4 Leadership Tracks that serve as step-by-step game plans, guiding you from Year One through Year Four with Lead ‘Em Up. These tracks are more than just a roadmap; they’re your blueprint for success. We’ll show you exactly which exercises to use and when based on strategies that have worked for championship teams. You can still mix in your favorite activities, but these tracks offer a proven formula for leadership growth.

Track Themes: Bringing It All Together

Each track comes with a bold theme that acts like your team’s “word of the year.” Whether it’s communication, habit-building, or another key leadership focus, these themes keep your team aligned and locked in on common goals. Simple, powerful, and effective—you’ll hear players repeating these themes, holding each other accountable, and living them out on and off the field.

Track-Specific Exercises: Next-Level Leadership

This isn’t just a rebranding of old content. Each Leadership Track includes exclusive, brand-new exercises designed to bring the yearly theme to life. These exercises are fresh, dynamic, and crafted to push your players to new leadership heights. They’re not available anywhere else—just for Coaches Membership members.

Theme-Specific Kits: Reinforce the Message

To complement each track, you’ll receive a theme-specific kit every year, in addition to your regular Coaches Membership kit. These kits are packed with stickers, posters, and visual tools designed to reinforce that year’s leadership theme, keeping it front and center for your team all season long.

Progressive Access: Growing with You

Not every track unlocks right away, and that’s intentional. Just like you wouldn’t teach advanced plays to rookies on day one, some leadership lessons hit harder when your team is ready. As you stick with Lead ‘Em Up, you’ll progressively unlock new tracks that match your team’s growth and leadership maturity.

NEW EXERCISE: The Thought Train

If you’ve attended a live session with us, you might have seen the Thought Train Exercise in action. It’s too good not to share with everyone. This exercise helps players build mental habits that control their mindset, stay focused, and lead themselves to success. It’s a total game-changer—for your team and even for you as a coach (I still use it myself!).

NEW Teaching Resource in the Coaches Membership

You asked, we delivered. We’re adding teaching slides for each exercise in the Coaches Membership. These slides make it incredibly easy to present lessons, keep your team engaged, and drive home key leadership concepts. Teachers loved them, so we knew coaches would too.

Reduced Renewal Pricing (Yep, You Read That Right)

We know budgets can be tight, which is why we’re cutting the renewal cost of Lead ‘Em Up by 50% after your first year. For example, if you purchased the Single Team Coaches Membership last year for $399, your renewal this year is just $199. We believe leadership development is a long-term investment, and this is our way of saying, “We’ve got your back.”

We’re beyond excited about these updates and can’t wait to hear how they impact your team. Whether you’re leading seasoned athletes or new players, these tools are designed to elevate your leadership game. Do you have stories to share? We’d love to hear them. Keep leading, keep growing, and always #LeadEmUp!

Have fun and #LeadEmUp

Ep. 153: The Adaptive Edge: Coaching for Every Athlete, Every Moment

In today’s ever-changing world of leadership, we’ve come to grips that leading by experience, tendencies, and feelings is no longer enough. Too often, leaders rely on what they’ve always done, how they naturally respond, or what simply “feels right” in the moment. But true leadership requires something deeper, intentional adaptation.

This episode dives into the rise of Adaptive Leadership, a model that challenges coaches and leaders to grow beyond instinct and evolve with the people and circumstances around them. We explore how developing your Intelligence Quotient (IQ), Emotional Quotient (EQ), and Learning Quotient (LQ) can transform the way you connect, communicate, and create lasting impact.
Join us as we unpack how great leaders move from reaction to reflection, and from comfort to conscious change.

Ep. 152: Honoring the Past Without Sacrificing the Future

Some seasons stay with you forever! That team that just got it, the chemistry that was rare, the bond that felt like family. But what happens when that chapter closes, and you’re handed a new team that doesn’t feel the same? In this episode, we get real about something coaches rarely talk about: grieving a past team while struggling to fully embrace the one in front of you. We’ll unpack the quiet emotional weight coaches carry, and the dangers of staying emotionally tied to “what was” while missing the potential of “what is.”
