Isaac Watsa

Regional Coach - Canada

Isaac joins the Lead ‘Em Up team with a deep-rooted belief that leadership is a skill to be practiced, not just a title to be held.

A former captain for the University of Waterloo Warriors, Isaac’s five-year collegiate career was defined by resilience. A 5-time Academic All-Canadian and two-time recipient of the Judy McCrae Impact Award, Isaac navigated the highs and lows of elite competition, learning firsthand that a team’s culture is its greatest competitive advantage.

For over a decade, Isaac has directed the Watsa Basketball Camp, mentoring over 2,200 athletes. In addition, he’s an Assistant Coach for the University of Waterloo Men’s Basketball program, specializing in bridging the gap between physical talent and character.

Isaac is passionate about helping coaches and athletes in Canada build “Green” habits, ensuring they have the leadership tools necessary to win both in sport and in life.

“I’m a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it.”
