Green Leadership Score

Based on your scoring for your team, this is your overall team leadership score.

Below we have put together a plan for where you should start building your team’s leadership.

Player Growth Areas (PGA)

We have identified the most important leadership skills for high school athletes. We have broken these down into 9 areas that we call “Player Growth Areas”. We call them Growth Areas because a leader needs to continually grow their leadership skills to continue to be effective as a leader.

Based on your scoring, these are the three most important areas that would help grow your team’s leadership.

Foundation Building

Everything starts and ends with the Green Team. It is the foundation of the entire program. Starting with the Green Team will lay that foundation on solid ground. It will give your players the first tools and language to check one another. This should be your starting point. The Green Team flips a switch for your players to begin working to build their special team.

Green Team

Green Team Framework

The Green Team is a revolutionary teaching concept and exercise that gets players to understand the need to grow as a leader and work to grow their teammates to the next level.

PGA: Communication | Engagement | Habits | Self-Discipline

Custom Exercise Sequence

These are the exercises your team will benefit the most from after completing the Green Team exercise. The exercises below will build on everything your team has built after completing the Green Team. They will address the most important areas hindering your player’s leadership growth.

Lifeguard

Lifeguard

Great teams hold each other accountable. We call that lifeguarding. It requires a group effort and in this exercise players will learn how to identify warning signs, how to address them, and bring their team back up to another level.

Followership

Sugar and Salt

Sugar & Salt

One of our most popular exercises your players will get reps on how to successfully communicate challenging conversations and effectively hold teammates accountable using a distinct communication strategy.

Same Page

Same Page

Same Page emphasizes the need to keep showing up day after day in order to build a special team. This exercise serves as an incredible tie-back to Rule 6 of the Green Team: “you have to fight every day to build a Green Team”.

Process

The “Process” exercise is guaranteed to get your players on the edge of their seats needing to think, engage and get themselves locked in; as they focus on not missing any details and working to “out-concentrate” their teammates.

Software Update

SOFTWARE UPDATE

Similar to software updates on our phones, we need “updates” to our IOS (Individual Operating System) as well. During the Software Update exercise, we’ll work on identifying any “bugs” that need removing and layout an Update schedule to improve our own “IOS”.
