Lead ‘Em Up announces ambassador partnership with Lorenzo Alexander, Yael Averbuch & Kevin Buchanan

Maryland (June 5th, 2017) – Today Lead ‘Em Up announces an ambassador partnership with professional athletes Lorenzo Alexander (NFL – Buffalo Bills), Yael Averbuch (NWSL – FC Kansas City) and Kevin Buchanan (MLL – Boston Cannons).

Ambassadors will help drive awareness and visibility of the Lead ‘Em Up program to their respective sports; football, soccer and lacrosse, through social media promotions and various collaborative content.

“We are excited to have Lorenzo, Yael and Kevin representing Lead ‘Em Up,” said Adam Bradley, Founder and President of Lead ‘Em Up. ” These are three athletes performing at the highest level in their sports and who each credit their commitment to growing as a leader to be a critical component in their success.  Most important for us is their passion and heart for leadership.  They don’t just recognize it’s importance, they want to help influence and impact todays youth to help reach their full potential.  I look forward to having them help grow the Lead ‘Em Up community.”

 

Lorenzo Alexander – professional football player for the NFL’s Buffalo Bills. Lorenzo played collegiately for the University of California and was signed an undrafted free agent by the Carolina Panthers in 2005. During his 12-year NFL career, Lorenzo has played for the Panthers, Ravens, Redskins, Cardinals, Raiders, and Bills. Twice during his career Lorenzo has received one of the NFL’s most distinguished awards as his team’s winner of the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award. He has also been the recipient of the Athlete’s in Action Call to Courage Award.  Lorenzo has been named to the Pro Bowl two times during his career, and was awarded the 2017 Defensive MVP.

 

Yael Averbuch – is a professional soccer player. She played collegiately at the national powerhouse of University of North Carolina. While at UNC Yael was a key member of two national championship teams (2006 & 2008), and holds the record for fastest goal scored in women’s collegiate history. Along with her impressive collegiate career, Yael has been a member of the women’s national team, played overseas, and professionally in the U.S. with the Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) league, and the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). Yael is also the founder of the first of its kind training app, TechneFutbol.

 

Kevin Buchanan – is a professional lacrosse player for the Boston Cannons and NE Black Wolves. Kevin played collegiately at The Ohio State University where is he is second all-time in points scored with 175. During his collegiate Kevin was USILA All-American, a three-time All-GWLL First Team Selection, and 2008 GWLL Player of the Year. After his collegiate career ended Kevin entered Major League Lacross (MLL) and was a member of the 2011 MLL championship team. During his professional career Kevin has been chosen as an MLL All-Star, and named to the United States national team for the FIL World Lacrosse Championships.
